This is a mirror of the old soundmodem homepage originally at http://www.baycom.org/~tom/ham/soundmodem. It appears that in the webmaster's wisdom, the original soundmodem site has been lost, and with it, the source code.
I managed to find the source code (thanks Debian), and managed to get the rest thanks to The Wayback Machine. Hence, I am able to present to you, this mirror. Apologies if things are a little skewiff, we'll try to improve on this.

This software allows a standard PC soundcard to be used as a packet radio "modem". The whole processing is done on the main processor CPU.
Unlike previous packet radio modem software, this new release offers several new benefits:
Please note that monitoring commercial services may be prohibited in some countries, this software should therefore only be used to monitor the amateur radio service.
The Linux version integrates with the Kernel AX.25 stack and requires the mkiss driver (included in the standard kernels).
The Sparc Solaris version provides a KISS stream; software AX.25 stacks can interface to this KISS stream
The Windows version runs on Windows platforms supporting DirectSound and requires PC/FlexNet32. To install the software, just unpack the archive into the same directory as FlexNet32.
